Jose A. Lopez

A Democratic Community Leader for Our District

ABOUT JOSE A. LOPEZ

For Our Community

"I'm running because the people I serve every day — small business owners, working parents, our seniors, our minority communities — aren't being heard in Dover. I'm not a career politician. I'm a guy who has built something here, listens to his neighbors, and wants Delaware to be a place where every family can stay, work hard, and have a real shot."
— Jose A. Lopez

I'm a dad, a community leader, and a small business owner. I'm not a career politician. I'm a guy who has spent his life in Delaware, building something with his hands, and trying to leave it better than I found it.

I'm running because the people I see every day — in my restaurants, at the LACC, in meetings of the Delaware Hispanic Commission — aren't being heard in Dover. Small businesses are getting caught in regulatory speed traps written for corporations. Working families can't afford childcare and are being priced out of the state. Our Hispanic community is the fastest-growing in Delaware and the most underrepresented in our government. Our seniors are watching property assessments, rent, and energy bills climb faster than they can keep up.

I've spent six years listening to neighbors, parents, and small business owners across this district. What I keep hearing is the same thing: people feel like nobody in Dover is fighting for them.

I believe Delaware should be a place where a family can live, work hard, build wealth, and have a real shot — the way my family did when we got here in 1992. That means investing in early childhood education so kids show up to kindergarten ahead, not behind. It means letting small businesses grow instead of setting traps for them. It means standing with our neighbors and being honest about who's enforcing what in our streets. And it means a state government that listens before it acts.

I'm not running on a whim. I'm running to win — and to bring real accountability to a seat that hasn't had a serious challenger in years. I'd be honored to have your support.
